Douglas County Day Camp

Douglas County Day Camp

Due to COVID-19 and the Governor's restriction we are not able to offer our normal Adventure Camp this summer. The Douglas County Day Camp is in place for those parents that still need the support of child care during the summer months. Below are all the details associated with camp, which will be held at the Douglas County Community and Senior Center.

DC Day Camp Program Considerations

· Spaces are limited based on staff availability and filled in a first-come-first-served order.

· Groups of children will remain with the same staff for the day.  Siblings will be placed in the same groups.

· Participants will be asked to wash their hands upon arrival and frequently throughout the day.

· Hand sanitizer will be available for use between hand washing or when soap and water are not available.

· Participants will be subject to temperature checks twice a day, upon arrival and again after lunch as well as more often if needed.

· Social distancing will be enforced by arrangement of furniture and activities in the areas provided.  Staff will monitor and direct participants to maintain social distancing.

· Participants will be provided with a “personal” kit of supplies for the week, which may include markers, glue, scissors, etc.  Items will be sanitized at the end of the week before being assigned to a participant the following week.

· Areas and supplies/equipment that are used by multiple participants will be sanitized between uses.
