Information Notice:

Effective May 12, 2025 the Public Counter hours will be
9:00am - 4:00pm, Monday thru Friday.

Beginning January 1, 2025, all requests for Building Department Inspections in Douglas County shall be made via the “Douglas CTY Inspection Requests” or the Douglas County Building Inspection email ([email protected]).

There will no longer be an inspection phone line used for scheduling inspections. All inspection appointments must be scheduled via the “Douglas CTY Inspection Requests” or by submitting an e-mail to the Douglas County Building Department Inspection Inbox. For further details, please see notice.

Effective immediately, Douglas County Building no longer accepts outside third party review.

What We Do

The Building Division provides building plan check and inspections in a friendly, fast, and efficient manner to ensure construction meets all applicable codes.

To request public records such as plans to existing homes, please submit a Public Records Request.

To schedule a building inspection, please download the inspection request app or email [email protected]. All inspections called in prior to 3:30 pm will be scheduled for the next day upon availability.

PUBLIC COUNTER HOURS:
Effective May 12, 2025, our public counter hours will be Monday - Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
You must sign in on the Ipad in the lobby of the Minden Inn.
