** Effective March 30, 2021, following the guidelines set forth by Governor Sisolak, the Douglas County Community & Senior Center Fitness Center will be OPEN with strict guidelines and limited hours. 
Masks are not required when actively exercising, participating in practice or competition, eating or drinking. 
Masks are required at all other times while in the buildings.

The Senior Center, Congregate Dining and Senior Programs remain closed at this time.  However we are offering Drive-Up Pick-Up of Meals on Wheels for anyone age 60 and over from 11am-1pm Monday-Friday at the Center.
Our division is doing its best to continue providing services for those who need assistance. 
The health and safety of our team, members and participants of all ages are of the utmost importance to us.

About Us

The Douglas County Community and Senior Center, opened December 6, 2014, is at the heart of Gardnerville, NV.  With offerings for seniors, adults and youth all are welcomed and can find an activity to enjoy.  Come for our contact classes, sports programs, fitness center, arcade, room rentals or senior services and find more than you came for!

Facility Rentals
Looking for a place for a meeting, party, benefit or wedding reception?
We invite you to take advantage of our great facility!  With reasonable fees, a variety of options and friendly staff, any event is possible. To reserve fill out the Facility Use Application and email to or fax to (775) 782-9844.  For questions or information call 775-782-5500 ext. 1. 

Various fees for Kids Club, drop-in classes, dance and exercise programs, contracted classes, sport leagues and other programmed activities in the facility.

Paid Daily Walk-In Guests and Pass Holders are entitled to use of the gymnasium, fitness center, jogging track, racquetball courts, arcade and gym restrooms. Use of these amenities are only available during normal hours of operation and when the designated areas are not being utilized for scheduled Department programs or reserved activities and events.

Annual Passes

Annual Pass may be paid in full or by an Auto-Debit system. With the Auto-Debit system, the first quarter installment is paid at the facility when the pass is purchased, with the remaining balance automatically deducted from a checking account for the next consecutive three months. A $1.50 charge will be added to each installment for annual pass holders utilizing the auto-debit system.

All pass holders are required to carry the Douglas County Parks & Recreation Department Membership Card as the facility operates on a bar code system. There is no charge for the first card provided.  Replacement cards are $10.
