This trailhead connects to the Fay-Luther Trailhead along the 3.9-mile Fay-Luther/Jobs Peak Ranch Trail. The first 1.6 miles of this trail travels through Jobs Peak Ranch private property and is open to hikers only. Dogs are required to be leashed here year-round. The trail goes by and squeezes through several interesting rock features and has a pleasant bridged stream crossing with great views of the Carson Valley. Please respect private property by staying on the designated trail.
The trail then reaches its high point and continues down toward the Fay-Luther Trailhead on a mix of U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and State of California property. The trail remains hikers only to the junction of the Valley View Loop. From here to the Fay-Luther Trailhead, the trail is open to hikers, equestrians and bikes.
