DCSS Resource Room and Computer Access

Job seekers have access to computers to research and apply for jobs, develop or modify a resume, and communicate electronically with potential employers. Phones are also available for local calls. Space is limited, so call ahead to reserve a computer.

Job Search Coaching

Our friendly and knowledgeable Workforce Development Staff have many options for job seekers who need assistance navigating today's job market. From resume and interview assistance, to personal branding and preparing your plan to rebuild your financial stability, we cover the map in terms of job search and long-term employment.

If you are currently unemployed, working part time, or are underemployed, call our office at (775) 782-9825 to schedule a one-on-one appointment with a Workforce Case Manager to discuss your options for assistance with obtaining employment and self sufficiency.

Computer Skills Classes

Douglas County Social Services now offers basic computer skills classes to individuals who need assistance searching for jobs, typing a resume, and applying to jobs online. Contact us at (775) 782-9825 to speak with a Case Manager to find out when the next classes will be available.
